THE HOME (UGANDA ADVENTURES HOME)
The Home is run by Scovia and supported by Isaac of Hope Development Volunteers. This is the place where ‘townies’ – the other volunteers are ‘village people’, stay – but they are all volunteers. Part of your volunteer fee pays for this place. When come to Mukono you can stay here, have a bed, food, power (when it is Mukono’s turn) and people that speak and understand English without a translator. AND do the unacceptable things for women – smoke and drink.
This place is your link to Kampala (about 45 minutes away), Jinja (about 45 minutes the opposite direction), shops (like our corner stores), hotels (for changing money), and markets – stores without roofs.

Volunteers stay between 2weeks and 3 months, and stay either here or in a village in the Mukono district or around Uganda. I look after you – I am your big brother; I would sms you the latest updates of happenings in the area, advised you where to change money, find a bargain, find a beer, or anything else that you may need to know.
The guest house contains dormitory styled beds, a room for staff, a lounge/dinning area, a store room for food, and an inside shower room. Currently we are using toilets outside and are of the long-drop variety.
These are dormitory styled rooms and bookings include food, breakfast, lunch and supper.
